Immigration & Deportation Defense
John D. Perez founded the firm in 1987 with a deeply personal mission: the son of Spanish immigrants, he has spent nearly four decades defending families in deportation proceedings, adjustment of status, naturalization, and waivers before USCIS and EOIR courts across the United States. An AILA Mentor and recognized immigration litigation expert, he served as past treasurer of AILA's New Jersey Chapter and as president of the Federal Bar Association's New Jersey Chapter. Appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court in 1992, he completed a 16-year term on the Committee on Character. A New Jersey Super Lawyers honoree (2011–2014), he is admitted before the Supreme Court of the United States and the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 11th Circuit Courts of Appeals.

Bryan handles the full range of immigration matters — family petitions, adjustment of status, naturalization, NOIDs, appeals, I-601 and I-601A waivers, and removal defense before EOIR — and leads the firm's estate planning department. A Super Lawyers Rising Star (2015–2017), Lead Counsel Rated by Thomson Reuters, AVVO Clients' Choice recipient, and Legal Services of NJ Equal Justice Medal honoree, he is admitted before the Supreme Court of the United States and the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 11th Circuit Courts of Appeals, and served on the NJ District Ethics Committee from 2014–2018. John J. Perez leads the firm's removal defense department, representing clients in immigration court at both master calendar and merits hearings and managing appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals and federal Circuit Courts. His meticulous attention to detail has produced a long record of success for clients facing the highest stakes. Outside the courtroom, John is a certified contract advisor with the NFL Players Association and the CFL Players Association, having negotiated millions in contracts for clients. He is admitted before the Supreme Court of the United States and the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 11th Circuit Courts of Appeals, and is a member of the American Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association, and American Immigration Lawyers Association.
